5/20/04

The show opened with Eddie Guerrero coming out to the ring and challenging Bradshaw to a rematch given how their match ended at the PPV. Before Bradshaw could say yes, Kurt Angle explained that he made the matches on the show and said that Guerrero, Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio would take on Bradshaw and the Dudley Boys tonight.

Rico and Charlie Haas beat the FBI (Stamboli and Nunzio). The champs were pretty over.

Billy Kidman and Akio were in the midst of a match when Mordecai came to the ring and beat both of them up.

Chavo Classic beat Spike Dudley and his son to become the new Cruiserweight champion.

Booker T did a promo where he said he wanted a rematch with The Undertaker. He then beat Funaki in his match.

Rene Dupree beat John Cena by count out to further their feud.

Before the main event, Bradshaw attacked Eddie Guerrero in the back.

Bradshaw and The Dudley Boys beat Eddie Guerrero RVD and Rey as the heels had a 3-on-2 advantage for most of the match since Eddie was selling his beating. Eddie came out at the end and got a huge pop. There was a good crowd at the show and they were into this match, which was good. Anyway, Eddie tried to make the save and did for a while, but then passed out from the beating and Bradshaw covered him for the win.

5/13/04

Smackdown for May 13th opened with a video recap of last week's angle where John Bradshaw Layfield interrupted Eddie Guerrero's celebration with his family and "caused" Mama Guerrero's heart attack, which set off Guerrero on a chair swinging rampage last week.

A brand new Smackdown opening aired.

Rob Van Dam vs. D-Von Dudley, with Bubba Ray Dudley. As RVD came to the ring, it was announced that Van Dam & Rey Mysterio will face the Dudleys at Judgment Day on Sunday. Bubba Ray come out, his head bandaged, and teased that he was the opponent for RVD, so naturally, D-Von ran in and attacked RVD to start the match. D-Von pounded RVD early, but Van Dam hit a pair of spin kicks for two counts. Van Dam hit a dropkick in a corner, but Bubba distracted RVD, allowing D-Von to take back over with a neckbreaker. D-Von followed with a chinbuster, then choked him with his wrist tape while Bubba distracted the referee. D-Von stayed in control, applying a rear chinlock. D-Von hit a clothesline for two, but Van Dam battled back with a cradle for two, then hit a spinkick. Van Dam hit a legsweep and a clothesline, then a top rope thrustkick for two. Bubba interfered again, and Van Dam hit him with a somersault senton off the apron. Back in the ring, Van Dam hit a spinkick and slam, then hit Rolling Thunder, but Bubba put D-Von's foot on the ropes. Van Dam kicked Bubba, then hit D-Von with a second rope kick, but D-Von bumped into the referee. Van Dam went to the top rope, but Bubba crotched him. D-Von hit a hanging DDT off the ropes for the pin at 7:45. Winner: D-Von Dudley. Post-match, the Dudleys worked over RVD, but Rey Mysterio ran in for the save.

Backstage, Eddie Guerrero was sitting silently. Kurt Angle was wheeled up to him by Luther. Angle got on Guerrero's case for attacking the Dudleys last week. Angle said he could get rid of Guerrero the way he got rid of Big Show. Angle said he knew Guerrero had been waiting for Bradshaw since 10am, but if he does anything wrong, there would be serious repercussions. Guerrero just got up and walked away, as Angle yelled at him to come back and sit down.

A vignette for Kenzo Suzuki aired, saying he was a "Man of Pride from the Land of the Rising Sun".

Michael Cole interviewed Cruiserweight Champion Jacqueline. She said she was proud to be the first women to ever hold the Cruiserweight Title (guess we aren't counting the WCW history of the title). She then told the fans that they should tease Chavo Guerrero that he "lost to a girl". Chavo and Chavo Classic interrupted the interview. Chavo called Jackie a thief, and said she cheated to win the title. Chavo said there was no way Jackie could beat him without cheating. Chavo said that Kurt Angle gave him a title rematch at Judgment Day. Chavo said to prove that he is the "better man", he would wrestle her with one arm tied behind his back. Chavo Classic then got on the mic, saying he wants redemption tonight, so he was challenging Jacqueline to a match right now. Chavo Classic took off his jewelry and jacket and tie as they went to break.

Jacqueline vs. Chavo Guerrero Classic.

Back from break, Chavo was riding Jackie on the mat and spanked her bottom. He got up and played to the crowd, and Jacqueline dropkicked him to the floor. Back in the ring, Jackie hit a drop toe hold, but Chavo hit a series of shoulderblocks in the corner and stomped on her hand before hitting a rolling necksnap. Chavo Classic applied an abdominal stretch, and used the ropes for leverage right in front of the referee. As Chavo argued with the ref, Jackie hit a hiptoss. Chavo came right back with a back suplex. Chavo went for a pumphandle slam, but Jackie floated over into a cradle for two. Jackie kicked a charging Chavo and hit a Tornado DDT for two. Jacqueline went to the apron and shoulderblocked Chavo Classic. From the floor, Chavo Jr. pulled Jackie off the apron, which she smacked into face first. Jackie was rolled back into the ring, and Chavo Classic got the pin at the 2:41 mark. Winner: Chavo Guerrero Classic. Post-match, Jacqueline pulled down Chavo Classic's pants, revealing his red underwear, before leaving the ring.

Backstage, Kurt Angle was ticked off about Eddie Guerrero disrespecting him and walking away from him earlier. Angle dispatched Luther to go get Eddie Guerrero and bring him to his office, or to find where he is so he could be brought to Guerrero.

Booker T's visits to a voodoo shop and a cemetery last week, in the hopes of gaining an advantage over the Undertaker, were recapped.

Luther wheeled Angle to Guerrero. Angle warned him that if he interfered in Bradshaw's match tonight, he would be stripped of the WWE Title. Angle said that the heart attack probably wasn't even Bradshaw's fault, and that his grandma probably had a history of heart disease. Guerrero got in Angle's face, screaming "Heart disease?" A frightened Angle said he didn't mean anything by it, and had Luther wheel him away from Guerrero.

Tazz and Michael Cole were talking about the Bradshaw-Mysterio match, when Bradshaw's voice came over the air via cellphone. Bradshaw said he was going to make an example of Mysterio on his way to Eddie Guerrero and the WWE Title. Bradshaw said he was glad Guerrero was at the arena, and that Judgment Day might come a little early.

Booker T vs. Johnny Stamboli & Nunzio.

The FBI were all bandaged up from the beating that The Undertaker gave them last week. Booker T had a pouch of dirt from the cemetery with him. It was explained that Booker wanted this match to prove that he was just as good as the Undertaker. Booker stomped Stamboli down, then clotheslined Nunzio. Booker hit Nunzio with a side slam, then a bodyslam, before kicking Stamboli. Booker threw Nunzio from the ring, and dropped him across the security wall. Back in the ring, Stamboli threw some punches, but Booker hit him with a back kick. Booker hit a side kick, then downed Stamboli with an ax kick for the win in 2:31. Winner: Booker T.

Post-match, Booker got on the mic and said he was now just as powerful as the Undertaker. The lights went out, and Undertaker appeared on the video screens. Paul Bearer walked out onto the stage as Booker T was headed up the aisle. Smoke filled the ring, and the Undertaker appeared in it from "out of nowhere". Booker held his pouch of dirt in front of him, as he engaged in a staredown with the Undertaker. Undertaker made a slashing motion across his throat as they went to break.

Eddie Guerrero walked down to the ring, and told the crowd how, as WWE Champion, he represents the fans, the other wrestlers and America. Guerrero said that America is not about telling people you are better than them, it is about working hard and making something of yourself. Guerrero said that Bradshaw was ignorant as to what America is about. Guerrero said he was going to test Bradshaw's intestinal fortitude, and he was going to "kick the s***" out of him. Guerrero then talked about the way Bradshaw traumatized his family, but said that his mother is doing great now, and that Bradshaw is the one people should be worried about. Guerrero said he wanted his wife to turn off the television, because he didn't want his kids to see what he was going to do to Bradshaw tonight. Bradshaw's limo pulled up, and Eddie tried to open the door, but it was locked. Eddie picked up a steel pipe and bashed in a window. Bradshaw wasn't in the limo. The police then came out, and we heard Bradshaw's voice come out, ordering them to arrest Guerrero for "vandalism and destruction of private property". As the cops cuffed him, Guerrero said "Ain't the first time, and won't be the last". Bradshaw came out and antagonized Guerrero on the mic. Guerrero, still cuffed, charged Bradshaw twice. Bradshaw hit some shots and ran into the ring, as the cops grabbed Eddie again. Bradshaw said he wanted him arrested for "aggravated assault", and said Guerrero should use his phone call to "call his mama". Bradshaw then posed and smiled in the ring as Eddie was taken away.

Rico, with Miss Jackie & Charlie Haas, vs. Hardcore Holly, with Billy Gunn. Rico and Jackie did their runway entrance, while Haas just looked on incredulously. Haas did seem more comfortable being part of the team though. It was announced that Gunn & Holly would get a title shot at Haas & Rico at Judgment Day. Holly showed immediate distaste for Rico's flamboyant tactics. Rico reversed a a overhead chinlock into a waistlock, and when Holly reversed it, Rico bent over, annoying Holly. Holly hit a clothesline and demanded that Rico "wrestle". Holly hit a shoulderblock, but Rico came back with an armdrag. They went back and forth, with each working over the other in a corner, until Rico hit a springboard kick in the corner and applied a rear chinlock. Holly broke free and hit a Hot Shot, then kicked Rico low. Holly went for the Alabama Slam, but Rico floated into a sunset flip. They exchanged reversals for two counts. Rico hit a back kick, but Holly came back with a dropkick for two. Rico hit a superkick for two of his own. Rico hit a top rope bodypress, but Holly rolled through it and got the pin at 4:43. Winner: Hardcore Holly.

Michael Cole and Tazz announced that Torrie Wilson will face Dawn Marie at Judgment Day.

We went to a pre-taped "Cafe De Rene". Dupree complained about the reaction he gets from the fans in the U.S. He said that every other country hates the U.S. because of the way they treat everyone. A video package recapped his attack of John Cena from last week. Dupree promised to treat Cena the way the U.S. treated the "poor, innocent Iraqi prisoners" this Sunday, and become the first Frenchman to win the U.S. Title.

(Commentary: Yeah, I can't believe he said that either.)

A vignette for Mordecai was shown, and it was announced that he would be in action at Judgment Day.

U.S. Champion John Cena vs. Sakoda, with Akio. No prematch rap from Cena. Cena hit a series of right hands, and Sakoda went to the floor to regroup. Sakoda pulled Cena to the floor, but Cena outpunched him and tossed him back into the ring. Akio hit Cena with a kick off the ringsteps. Sakoda tossed Cena back into the ring for a two count, then hit some kneelifts. Sakoda hit a running knee in the corner, but Cena came back, hitting a shoulderblock and clothesline. Cena hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle fistdrop, then pumped up his sneakers. Akio went to get in the ring, but Cena glared at him, and Akio backed off. Cena then hit Sakoda with the FU for the pin in 3:20.

Winner: John Cena. Post-match, Cena hit Akio with the FU, and tossed a package of nuts on them.

The Raw Rebound was shown.

John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Rey Mysterio. Bradshaw tossed Mysterio down on a lock up. They locked up again, and Bradshaw shoved him down again, then slapped Rey in the head. Mysterio kicked Bradshaw's leg out, and dropkicked him in the face. Bradshaw went for a boot to the face, and Rey ducked, but Bradshaw hit a shoulderblock. Bradshaw pounded on Rey, then went for a powerbomb, but Rey punched out of it. Rey got Bradshaw to chase him around the ring, and Bradshaw got winded while Rey did jumping jacks in the ring. Rey hit a baseball slide, but Bradshaw caught a pescado attempt and gave Rey a fallaway slam on the floor. Bradshaw hit a chop and tossed Rey into the ring. Bradshaw pounded Rey in the corner and hit a vertical suplex. Bradshaw slammed Rey and dropped a pair of elbows. Bradshaw put Rey in a Torture Rack, and hit a pumphandle slam. Bradshaw yelled "Arriba" at Rey, then placed him on the top turnbuckle and chopped him. Rey fired back with punches and hit a tornado DDT. Rey dropkicked Bradshaw in 619 position and hit it. Rey went for the West Coast Pop, but Bradshaw ducked it and hit a boot to the face. Bradshaw tossed Rey to the floor and then sent him into the ring steps and the time keepers table. Bradshaw rammed Rey into the announcers table, then back in the ring, Bradshaw hit a lariat in the corner. Bradshaw powerbombed Rey into the turnbuckles. Bradshaw hit the Clothesline From Hell and got the pin at 8:40. Winner: John Bradshaw Layfield.

Bradshaw got on the mic and said he didn't "give a damn" about Guerrero's mother. Bradshaw said she'll have another heart attack on Sunday when he beats up Eddie. Bradshaw said this wasn't about Eddie's mother, this was about the WWE Championship and his destiny. Bradshaw said that Eddie made this personal, so he was "personally guaranteeing" victory at Judgment Day to end the show.

5/6/04

Smackdown for 5/6 opened with Michael Cole in the ring informing the fans that Eddie Guerrero's mother had a heart attack. Cole explained that on Sunday in Eddie's hometown of El Paso, Texas, Guerrero had invited his family into the ring following a victory on a Smackdown show.

They aired footage from the house show, with Guerrero bringing his wife and children into the ring. Eddie introduced his family, and gave a bouquet of flowers to his wife. Eddie then gave a moving speech about his mother, and had her come to the ring. Eddie gave her a bouquet of roses. John Bradshaw Layfield came down to the ring, and Eddie rushed to get his family out of the ring. Bradshaw hit Guerrero with the Clothesline From Hell, then hit him with the WWE Championship belt. Guerrero's mother, who was still in the ring, yelled at Bradshaw and the two got into an argument in the ring. Bradshaw put his hands on her (not necessarily in a forceful way) and Mama Guerrero had her heart attack. Bradshaw took off as a trainer and referees came to the ring. Eddie screamed for help, as Guerrero's wife and kids cried at ringside. EMT's came in and stretchered her out.

They went back to the arena, and a somber Michael Cole and Tazz chastised Bradshaw for interfering in Guerrero's celebration and causing the heart attack. They went right to the first commercial break.

Back from break, they hyped that we would hear from Bradshaw later tonight, and would also see Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam vs. The Dudley Boyz and the Undertaker in action.

U.S. Champion John Cena vs. Doug Basham, with Danny Basham.

Cena put a patriotic slant on his pre-show mic work, mentioned he is going to beat Rene Dupree at Judgment Day, then cut a rap on Doug & Danny, implying that they were homosexuals. Cena took over early with a hiptoss and headlock, but Basham took over after a shoulderblock by the ropes. They went back and forth, but Cena hooked the ropes and avoided a Doug DDT. However, Danny jumped on the apron and hit Cena from behind. Doug hit a legdrop for a one count, then applied a sleeper. Cena elbowed out and applied his own sleeper. Doug reversed back into his sleeper, but Cena broke out with a back suplex into a powerbomb. Cena hit a clothesline and back elbow, then a side slam. Cena hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle fistdrop, then knocked Danny off the apron. Cena hit the FU on Doug and got the pin at the 5:02 mark. Winner: John Cena.

Booker T's run in with the Undertaker from last week was shown. We then saw Booker T visiting "Mama Sangre" in some sort of voodoo shop. Mama Sangre told Booker of the big "shadow" coming for him, then gave him a bunch of good luck charms, like nails from a coffin. Mama then told Booker to go get dirt from the "grave of the man with no name". I swear, I am not making this stuff up.

Chavo Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero Classic (he doesn't want to be called Senior anymore) came to the ring. Chavo Classic said he was very emotional about his mother being attacked, but he was at Smackdown to support his son. Chavo Jr. said he made a promise last week, so he was here to honor his promise and take on anyone for his Cruiserweight Championship (that he hadn't faced before). Out came Jacqueline. The Guerreros broke out in laughter. Chavo said this had to be a joke. Chavo said it wouldn't be fair for him to wrestle Jacqueline. Chavo started to berate Jacqueline, and she slapped him to start the match.

Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, with Chavo Guerrero Classic, vs. Jacqueline.

Chavo took Jacqueline down with a waistlock and applied an armbar. Chavo armdragged her, but missed a avalanche. Jacqueline hit some forearms, a headscissors and a dropkick, but Chavo stopped her with a back suplex. Jacqueline was laid out, and Chavo asked the referee if he really had to cover her. Meanwhile, Chavo Classic was already grabbing the belt and heading into the ring. Chavo went to finish off Jacqueline, as the referee went to keep Classic out of the ring. Jacqueline hit Chavo with a low blow and rolled up Chavo in a small package for the pin at 2:09. Winner and new Cruiserweight Champion: Jacqueline.

The FBI, Johnny Stamboli and Nunzio, were in the ring when General Manager Kurt Angle was wheeled out by Luther. Angle chastised the fans for not respecting the "sacrifices" he made for them, sacrifices that ended his career. Angle said he was disappointed in, and ashamed of, the fans. Angle said that he was still a man of his word though, and that he would have the Undertaker wrestle tonight. Angle said no one in the locker room would volunteer to wrestle the Undertaker. Angle informed the FBI that they would not have a tag match tonight, but instead would face the Undertaker in a handicap match. The FBI were not happed as Undertaker made his entrance.

The Undertaker, with Paul Bearer, vs. The FBI (Johnny Stamboli & Nunzio).

Undertaker took Stamboli down with a big boot, and gave one to Nunzio as he tried to attack from the apron. Undertaker was setting up for the rope walk, but Nunzio distracted him and Stamboli hit some forearms. They traded blows and Stamboli hit a DDT. Undertaker kicked out at two, sat up, then hit the flying clotheslined. Undertaker did the rope walk with Stamboli and hit the top rope forearm. Undertaker hit an faceplant and applied a half-nelson/front facelock combo for the tap out at 2:30. Winner: The Undertaker. Undertaker then gave Nunzio the Last Ride powerbomb and Stamboli the tombstone piledriver for good measure.

Booker T was in the graveyard, and got the dirt from the unmarked grave. Booker left, and we saw a gloved hand come up from the dirt after he left.

Josh Matthews was in front of Eddie Guerrero's dressing room, and they replayed the heart attack angle. When they came back, Eddie was with Josh, who asked Guerrero if he blamed Layfield or himself for the heart attack. Michael Cole repeated the question, sounding incredulous that Josh would ask that of Eddie. Guerrero trembled with anger, and Josh took off as they went to commercial.

Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie.

Rene Dupree and Fifi were at ringside with the announcers, staring at Torrie. Dawn attacked Torrie before the bell and rammed her into the turnbuckles repeatedly, then raked her face across the top rope. Dawn pulled Torrie by the hair and ripped away at her face. Dawn hit a legdrop for two. Dawn pulled the pad off of a turnbuckle, and rammed Torrie into it facefirst. Dawn went to do it again, but Torrie blocked it, and hit a pair of clotheslines followed by a neckbreaker for two. Torrie went to the top rope, kicked away Dupree who was trying to interfere, and hit Dawn with a flying bodypress for two. John Cena came to ringside. Dawn Marie hit a drop toe hold on Torrie and kicked her off the ring apron to the floor. Dupree went after Torrie, and Cena slugged him. Cena went to check on Torrie, and Dupree attacked him, going ballistic on Cena. The women left, so I will call it a no-contest at 3:30. Result: No contest.

Dupree brought Cena into the ring and rammed him into the exposed turnbuckle. Dupree rammed Cena into the steel ringpost on the floor, then hit him with a television monitor in the midsection. Dupree powerbombed Cena through the announce table and beat him with the French flag. Referees came out to end the assault. Dupree draped the French flag on Cena on the floor, then got in the ring and mocked Cena as they went to break.

After the break, we saw that Dupree continued his attack, throwing the backboard at Cena as the EMT's were checking on him, then throwing a chair at him.

Michael Cole and Tazz informed us that Mrs. Guerrero was released from the hospital today. Cole informed us that she did suffer a mild heart attack, and was in intensive care, but she was released from the hospital and is fine.

They went to John Bradshaw Layfield via satellite from New York. Layfield said he didn't cause the heart attack, and that he simply asked her to leave the ring while he took care of his business with Eddie Guerrero. Cole accused Bradshaw of disrespecting the Guerreros. Bradshaw said it wasn't "take your family to work day". Tazz said Bradshaw should apologize for what he did. Bradshaw balked at that suggestion. Cole brought up Bradshaw not being at Smackdown this week, and Bradshaw claimed that he was giving Guerrero a "reprieve" this week. Bradshaw said he would win the title at Judgment Day, and that Mrs. Guerrero probably faked the heart attack, since she taught her family to "lie, cheat and steal". Bradshaw also made some more cracks about Mexicans during the promo.

Backstage, Paul Heyman (an invited guest at the show) told Kurt Angle that he can't put Eddie Guerrero in a match tonight with his current mental state. Heyman said if Guerrero snapped during his match, the Dudleys could sue the company, and the board of directors would blame Angle. Angle agreed and took Guerrero out of the match. Angle said he needed a replacement, whispered to Luther and sent him to get the replacement ready.

The Dudley Boyz vs. Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio.

Mysterio was the replacement for Guerrero. The Dudleys were not happy, as they assumed they were going to get RVD by himself. Van Dam and Bubba started out, with RVD hitting Bubba with a dropkick in the corner. Bubba came back with a clothesline and tagged in D-Von, who worked over RVD and choked him on the ropes. Bubba tagged back in, hit a double elbow with D-Von for two, but was distracted by trash talking Rey on the apron, and RVD hit a spinkick. RVD hit another kick and tagged in Rey, who hit Bubba with a spinkick and a dropkick to the face for two. D-Von came in, but Rey set him up for a 619, only to be tripped by Bubba. Rey actually held his own with Bubba, punching him in the corner and hitting a rana. Rey hit a springboard bulldog from the second rope for two. Rey hit a series of kicks, but D-Von tripped Rey from the floor and pulled him groin first into the ringpost while Bubba knocked RVD off the apron to the floor. With Rey and RVD down on the floor, they went to commercial.

Back from break, D-Von had Rey in a chinlock, and we saw that during the break Bubba had hit Rey with a spinebuster. D-Von went for a back suplex, but Rey turned it into a reverse bulldog. Rey tagged Van Dam, but Bubba distracted the referee, who didn't see the tag. RVD was backed out of the ring as the Dudleys double teamed Rey. Bubba hit a vertical suplex, but Rey escaped his Bubba Bomb attempt, tripping Bubba into the corner and hitting some kicks to the head. Mysterio tagged RVD as Bubba tagged D-Von. RVD cleaned house on D-Von, punctuating the attack with a springboard kick, then hitting Bubba with a spinkick. RVD hit D-Von with a top rope kick for two, then hit Bubba with a baseball slide. RVD booted D-Von, and Rey hit D-Von with a springboard senton. RVD hit D-Von with the split leg moonsault, but Bubba broke up the cover. The batch broke down at this point, with all four men in the ring. Rey dropkicked Bubba from the ring and hit him with a pescado. RVD missed a Five Star Frog Splash on D-Von. The Dudleys were set up for 3D, but Mysterio dropkicked Bubba from the ring. RVD kicked D-Von into position for a 619, and Rey hit the move. RVD and Mysterio then hit the original Rolling Thunder (RVD's somersault splash with Rey adding the slingshot legdrop) on D-Von for the win at 15:22. Winners: Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio.

Post-match, The Dudleys laid out RVD and Mysterio, and were going for a chair when Eddie Guerrero hit the ring. Eddie tossed a referee from the ring, then blasted Bubba, D-Von, RVD and referee Nick Patrick with chairshots. Bubba was busted open. Guerrero hit both Dudleys again with the chair, and had a crazed look in his eyes as the show ended.

4/22/04

***spoilers*** Booker T Over RVD

The show started, with no pyro for some reason. RVD comes out, again no pyro. Booker comes to the ring, and RVD stops him with a baseball slide out of the ring. The bell rings while they are outside. They get into the ring. The bell rings again. Good back and forth action. RVD hits rolling thunder, and a few other of his spots. I really like the chemistry these two have. Suddenly the pyro to start smackdown goes off. Scares the crap outta everyone. Well, everyone except booker, being that he takes the opportunity to roll RVD up for the win.

Paul E’s music hits, and lo and behold, look who the new GM is. Well, for a night anyway, because Kurt is in the hospital with a broken leg, so Vince told Paul he was the only one he could trust with the Brand for tonight. He starts to go off on a tirade on how awesome smackdown is, and how he is responsible for it. he then starts to go off on RVD about how he used to be somebody in ECW and now is nothing. Cue the Dudley’s, who came out to stand with Rob. Buh Buh says that anything Paul E says can as far as he is concerned be said to them too. Heyman goes off about how they used to be monsters, but now have been tamed. He taunts them for a while longer, till Buh Buh can take it no more and clocks…….RVD!!!! yup, heel turn for the Dudley’s. They beat the bejesus outta RVD for a while, and they look to Paul for approval. Good segment.

Charlie Haas and mystery partner over Scottie and Rikishi for the Belts!

Yup, that’s right, new tag champs. They promo on the titantron that Charlie will have a mystery partner tonight…whoever will it be….hmmmmm…. well, he comes out to the ring and then suddenly, Ricos music hits! Yup, Rico and Charlie Haas are the new odd couple tag team of the WWE. And let me tell you from where I sit, its gold. Soooo funny! The match was total comedy, with some fun spots. Everything from rico giving haas a good luck pat on the bum to consoling Scottie 2 hottie about his low blow. It was so fun, and rico is pulling this character off. The icing on the cake was the big kisch setting Haas up for the stink face, rico calling for him to stop, so he can switch in. Jackie hands Rico some chap stick, and says go for it. the facial expressions were great on everyone’s part at that. fun match. I believe Charlie ended up getting the pin. The story was that Charlie is attracted to Jackie, and that is why he is interested in the team. Very fun match to watch, and if you are a Rico fan you are going to be happy (Well, that they are using him anyway)

Bradshaw Over EL Gran (the Champion of Mexico)

Maybe Dave can help us with this one, cause I have no idea who this guy is. (I was hoping, in my heart of hearts for La Parka) Bradshaw cut a promo in the back with Paul E about how apparently Bradshaw met the heavyweight champion of Mexico in an airport and they started yelling at each other. So he booked the match. El Gran was announced at 215 pounds, wore black and gold and a mask. Pretty boring match actually. (not that it should be a surprise) Bradshaw played the heel by pinning and pulling the champ (who had a pretty cool Mexican championship belt actually) up off the mat at 2. then he laid down and made the lifeless body of the champ pin him, only to kick out at two. Fall away slam, clothesline from hell, and its over.

Café du Rene

I am not sure the actual name of the segment, I think this is it. But after watching him tonight, I have to say this: Rene Dupree is GOLD. The dude is awesome. He was such a great heel tonight. As far as I am concerned, he has all the tools to be great in this business. He got the most heat of the night, bar none. I hope it comes off as well on TV as it did live. Man, I love to hate him. The segment took place in the ring, with a lamppost, and street sign (rue de Rene I think is what was on it) and an Eiffel Tower about 4 feet high. Of course, there was also a café table, with bread and wine. There was also an old dude playing the accordion behind him to start the segment off. Of course, Fifi was in the corner, scared shitless of all that was going on around her. For some reason, they had her sitting on the monitor at first, which just made matters worse, cause whenever anyone would talk, she would freak out. Not a happy camper. As for Rene, he would open his mouth, and we would boo. It was great. He was in a suit, and asked torrie out. He announced her as a playboy cover girl, and most recently a diva magazine cover girl as well. She got and he sat her down all gentleman like. He was being very polite, pouring her wine, and introducing her to Fifi. I wonder how long this will last? I didn’t have to wonder very long tho, because he started asking her about the Big Show, and why in the world she would laugh at him. Torrie said she thought she was out here to talk about the Diva Rag, I mean Mag, and he should stick to that. Rene kept pressing, and got more and more intense with her. Man this guy is good. He got to the point where he was over her, shouting, saying that Fifi wasn’t the only bitch in the ring. Torrie slapped him, and he grabbed her hard. She swung again, and he blocked it. suddenly out of nowhere, John Cena is there. He cleans house, throwing the props (never did see what happened to Fifi) out of the ring. Rene was cut badly near his ear, and was sent back. Cena grabbed the wine, tried it, and spat it out. He wanted a Molson Ex (one of Canada’s most popular beer) someone in the crowd gave him one and we were chanting ‘Chug’. He said he will if we will, so raise a glass. He did a rhyme to kelowna, and everyone was drinkin. He started to promo, and suddenly, the two Chavos interrupted.

ChavoChavo Over John Cena

Handicap match with The Two Chavos fighting Cena. Lots of fun stuff here, with Cena being very very over. All the spots you would think would be there were, but in the end, with some cheating, Chavo Jr pinned Cena with at Brain Buster. Good match

Booker T came out to promo how great he is. We disagreed, so we booed him mercilessly. Booker was talking about how big a star he was, and all that, and suddenly the lights went out. A couple of bongs and thunderclaps later, booker was running away in the audience. This was the only disappointment of the night, as many of us saw taker earlier in the day, and we would not get to see him this night. The place went apeshit for the bongs, so it was disappointing not to at least see him.

The Dudley over Eddie

Okay, so Paul is calling the Dudley Boyz ‘The Dudley’ tonight. I am not really sure why, but basically, this is a handicap match. Eddie gets beat down. There is a double count out at one point but Paul E (down by ringside) says that this is the main event, and there will be a winner! So the match goes on, with Eddie working hard, and hulking up Eddie style on Devon. He triple suplexes him, and looks to have victory at hand, but then he is tripped, pinned, and buh buh holds his feet down on the outside. Bradshaw shows up and gives Eddie the Big Beat Down including a Clothesline from hell. He gets on the buckle and gloats. Pretty good match, and that’s the show.

After the show Eddie gets up, and gets the mic. He starts some kind of verbal game with Tazz about why Tazz wont get him a bottle of water. Tazz says its Coles job. Eddie gets some water, and throws it back to Tazz saying ‘I will give you a chance to catch this’. Tazz comments how Cole is really the Catcher, but he will do his best. He catches the water, and then tells Eddie how much he respects him so he will give him the water, and he gets up and hands it to him. Eddie then tells us again how great we are, and thanks us and wishes us God Bless. Before he leaves he gets us chanting ‘Bradshaw sucks!’

The WWE video opening aired followed by highlights from last week's "SmackDown" regarding Eddie Guerrero, Justin Bradshaw Layfield, Kurt Angle, and the Great American Award. The SmackDown video opening aired followed by fireworks. The Tale of the Tape for Booker T V/S Rob Van Dam was displayed on the TitanTron.

Eddie Guerrero came out for an interview. During the interview, an anti-Eddie/pro-JBL video was played. Kurt Angle then came out to the stage and said if Eddie wanted JBL then that's what he'll get tonight. JBL came out via Limo and stated he was sleepy, he hadn't been to the spa all week and needed some time off. He told Angle (off microphone) an idea. Angle then announced at Judgment Day it would be Eddie Guerrero defending the WWE Heavyweight Championship against Justin Bradshaw Layfield and tonight it would be Guerrero versus The Big Show. Guerrero looked worried as a graphic appeared on the TitanTron advertising a Champion v/s Champion match up next between WWE US Champion, John Cena and WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero.

A preview of an upcoming "Star Trek: Enterprise" was aired.

Kurt Angle and Justin Bradshaw Layfield were backstage talking when The Big Show came into the room. He asked if his match would be for the title. After stammering around for a few seconds, Angle said no that since JBL was awarded the Great American Award, he gets the next title match. Show said he knew what was going on and tonight he would quit if he couldn't defeat Guerrero.

John Cena came out to the ring and gave a usual pre-match promo. Chavo Guerrero's music interrupted Cena and the match quickly got on their way. In the end it was Cena who won the match. Neither championship was on the line.

A preview of the Chris Jericho versus Christian and Trish Stratus match at WWE Backlash was shown.

-commercial-

A package was shown, showing highlights from Rob Van Dam and Booker T's first day in SmackDown. The purpose of the package was showing how RVD was happy to be there and Booker wasn't.

A segment aired with Rene Dupree at a table with French music playing and him drinking wine with a beautiful individual. The individual turned out to be Fifi. Most of what Dupree said was in French so I have no idea what he said. But he did mention he would interview Torrie Wilson next week on SmackDown. I'm assuming it's a new interview segment for the show with Rene as the host. Rene assured Fifi that she was prettier than Torrie.

A clip from "SmackDown" last year aired that showed The Big Show attacking Eddie Guerrero and slamming him onto the truck he rode to the ring. This was a few days before their match at No Mercy.

Charlie Haas was warming up backstage when Jamie Noble came over to him. Noble said nothing Haas could do would be able to prepare him for a match with Rico. Haas explained that he's agile, quick, and a great athlete, blah, blah, blah. Noble asked how all of that would help him when Rico rubs his chest. Noble said to be sure Rico doesn't get him from behind. Charlie excused himself as he had a WRESTLING match to attend to. On his way out, he bumped into Nunzio who said "Excuse me piezon (correct spelling?)" and then slapped him on his butt which startled Charlie. A graphic appeared advertising the match between Rico and Charlie Haas.

I'm not sure if this will make it to TV as it was a very long segment. Haas makes his way to the ring and just jumps up and down for about two or three minutes. Finally, Rico comes out along with Miss Jackie. WWE created a very small runway for the two to walk on before getting to the ring. Once the match started, it was obvious Rico was in Charlie's head as he rubbed Charlie's chest, grabbed his butt, pulled his tights below his butt, and rode him on all four. After Rico kissed Charlie, Haas ran outside of the ring, into the crowd and then ended up being counted out.

Backstage Justin Bradshaw Layfield was telling Big Show he appreciated Show teaching Guerrero a lesson tonight. Show stated he wasn't doing this for Angle, for Layfield but for himself. Layfield said when he's victorious he'll buy him a pizza or anything he wanted. He then reminded Show he gave his word that if he loses, he'll quit.

The upcoming SmackDown live event dates were announced.

In one of the more stranger moments of the night, a promo was aired regarding a man named Mordecai. He wears a white robe, all of his hair is white, and he says he is working for the father. His logo is a variation of the Christian cross. I really have no idea who the wrestler is.

In a match made earlier in the night, Eddie Guerrero pinned The Big Show. Show controlled most of the evening and after he lost the match he came very close to crying. Guerrero managed to get the whole crowd to chant "Naa Naa Naa, Hey Hey Hey...Good-bye!" Show was shown saying "Why are you all laughing at me?"

More footage regarding Rob Van Dam and Booker T's short history in SmackDown was shown. This time it was RVD wrestling Charlie Haas and pinning him in their first match and then the altercation between Booker and Guerrero in the locker room.

A preview for the WWE Intercontinental Championship Match between Randy Orton and Mick Foley at Backlash was shown.

-commercial-

A replay from the Eddie Guerrero versus The Big Show match and after the match incident was shown. WWE cameras showed the Big Show walking backstage, almost in a trance. He then heard Torrie Wilson at the make-up area laughing with Jane The Make-Up Lady. The two were laughing and Show thought they were laughing at him. Torrie assured him they weren't. Show then left and Torrie said since she didn't have a match, she was going to go to her hotel.

Teddy Long was in the ring for an interview where he brought out Mark Jindrak, who is now using Lex Luger's old "Narcissist" theme song. There was a mirror in the ring so Jindrak could stare at his sculptured body. Spike Dudley then came out to the ring for a match due to the incident from last week with Spike and Teddy. Those incidents were shown on the TitanTron. Jindrak controlled most of the match and then ended it with a pinfall.

One more look at Rob Van Dam and Booker T's history in SmackDown was shown. Sadly, I don't remember what was shown. The Tale of the Tape for their upcoming match was shown one more time.

A preview for the new show "The WWE Experience" was advertised. The show debuts on May 2, 2004 on Spike TV. No time was announced.

-commercial-

WWE cameras showed a live shot outside of the Conseco Fieldhouse which was then followed by the new weekly "RAW Rebound" segment. When the cameras returned to SmackDown, Torrie Wilson was at her car preparing to leave when Big Show came out to confront her. During this segment he smashes the driver's window with his fists, the driver's backseat window with his boot, the back window with his fists, and then lifts the car over and turns it onto it's top by himself. Torrie screams several times during this segment, then in "horror movie" fashion runs away from the monster, trips and falls, gets back up and runs away.

-commercial-

A preview for the World Heavyweight Championship Triple-Threat Match between Chris Benoit, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels at Backlash was shown.

A replay of the Torrie Wilson and Big Show incident before the break was shown.

Booker T came out to the ringside for his match with Rob Van Dam. The match was a brawl with both men getting several two counts. For awhile, the two fought on the outside. Booker tried to hit both of his moves (The Bookend and The Scissors Kick) but failed. RVD tried for the frog splash and failed. Later in the match, Booker managed to get RVD tied into the ropes, ala Andre The Giant, and repeatedly punching him in his face/head/nose area. The referee counted him several times and kept pushing him back but Booker wouldn't let up. This lead to Booker being disqualified which then lead to a HUGE boo from the audience.

Kurt Angle was shown walking backstage when a TV assistant ran up to him saying that Show had Torrie cornered. Angle told the guy to take him to them. Show and Torrie were somewhere in the Fieldhouse where there was a second floor with a huge drop to the first floor. Show kept saying "You think I'm funny now Torrie?" and told her if she didn't laugh at him then he would make her scream. Angle showed up and told Show not to do it that it would be Angle's ass if Torrie was hurt. Show stated he didn't care so Angle said he would get up to where they were. Show pushed Torrie to her butt as Angle gets up to location. Show then chokeslams Angle off of the platform. Torrie began to scream very loudly. Angle looked completely lifeless with one leg under his body. The cameras showed Angle from several angles and there were no padding, no tables, nothing under Angle. Blood began to pour from behind Angle's head as the cameras faded to black.

After the cameras faded, Booker's music began again and he walked back out to ringside. He stated that he wanted to thank his fans for coming out to watch him tonight and that he had just been informed he was the new General Manager. He said that he would be fair and to show it, if there was anyone who had a beef with him, come out now so they could settle things. This started an Undertaker chant but it was John Cena's music that began. Cena reminded everyone that Booker didn't like SmackDown, which meant he didn't like the fans. He reminded that Booker admittedly said he didn't want to be on SmackDown which meant he didn't want to be with the fans. He did say that with him, you don't go home empty handed so he could be the GM of his nuts and threw a bag of nuts into the ring. He ran into the ring as a fight between Booker and Cena began. When Booker had the advantage, Eddie Guerrero came out and helped Cena. Cena then F-Ued Booker and Guerrero stuck the bag of nuts in Booker's hand. Cena's and Guerrero's theme songs began at different times and they walked around the ring and shook hands to end the evening.

All in all it was a great night and I can't wait to see how this comes across on the television as the crowd was hot all night long.

***end of show***

4/1/04

Location: Columbus, Ohio In ring promo: Kurt Angle's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the General Manager of Smackdown!. Kurt Angle got in the ring and he said that as all of you know, last week he made the ultimate sacrifice. He set aside his wrestling career and championship aspirations to become the new General Manager of Smackdown!. Not only did he do it for the greater good of this show, he did it for all the Smackdown! fans as well. And if his first week as the General Manager is any indication, he thinks it's safe to say that he's on his way to building a bigger, better Smackdown!. Oh it's true. But he can't do it alone, oh no. That is why tonight, he's looking for someone special. Someone in that Smackdown! locker room who has the ability to step up and take charge; to be a role model and a hero just like him. What he's looking for is a great American. Someone who has what it takes to win this; Kurt Angle revealed a trophy in the ring and it is the Kurt Angle Great American Award. Whoever wins this award exemplifies what a role model and hero should be. And obviously, Eddie Guerrero does not qualify. (boos) Kurt said there's a reason he doesn't qualify. Not only does the winner exemplify a great American, but the winner receives something much more and that's the opportunity to be the number one contender for the WWE Championship. You see as the General Manager of Smackdown!, Kurt put together a series of matches tonight and the winners of these matches will become the official nominees of this prestigious award. So, wrestlers good luck and make Kurt Angle proud. Great American Nominee Award Match Referee: Nick Patrick The Big Show vs. Rikishi The first of these matches will begin right now. The Big Show's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and his opponent is one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Rikishi! The start: Rikishi and The Big Show exchanged right hands at the start of the match and Rikishi went to whip The Big Show off the ropes but Big Show stopped himself and then he whipped Rikishi off the ropes and knocked him down to the mat with a shoulder block. Mid-match notes: Rikishi hit The Big Show with a super kick and Big Show remained on his feet and Rikishi hit him with another one to send him down to the corner. Rikishi then gave The Big Show the stink face until Big Show shoved Rikishi out of the corner down to the mat. The finish: Rikishi charged at The Big Show in the corner and The Big Show caught Rikishi by the throat and gave him the choke slam and a pin for the three count to get the win. Winner - The Big Show Earlier tonight: Bradshaw was shown pulling up to the arena in a limo with longhorns on the hood of the vehicle. The limo driver opened the door for Bradshaw and Bradshaw asked the guy where the hell did he learn how to drive? We have laws here and you don't just drive however you want. The driver, who couldn't speak English, said something in another language. Bradshaw yelled at him for not speaking English and poked fun at him. Referee: Brian Hebner Rey Mysterio and Spike Dudley vs. Chavo, Sr. and Chavo, Jr. The music of Rey Mysterio hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a tag team contest with Spike Dudley against the tag team duo of Chavo Guerrero, Sr. and the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. The start: Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero started it off in the ring and the two locked it up and Chavo took Rey down to the mat with a waist lock and Rey countered it into a hammer lock until Chavo Guerrero nailed Rey Mysterio in the head with a reverse elbow. Mid-match notes: Rey Mysterio went for a springboard moonsault but Chavo Guerrero caught him and then Rey quickly took Chavo Guerrero down to the mat to make the escape. Rey Mysterio went for the 619 on Chavo, Sr. but Chavo, Jr. got in the ring and knocked Rey to the outside of the ring with a clothesline. The finish: Spike Dudley caught Chavo, Jr. and gave him the Dudley Dog, stepping on Chavo, Sr. in the process and then he pinned Chavo, Jr. for the three count after the Dudley Dog to pick up the victory! Winners - Rey Mysterio and Spike Dudley The Aftermath: As Mysterio and Spike Dudley celebrated their win, Bradshaw hit the ring and laid into both Mysterio and Spike Dudley and the fans chanted "you suck, you suck" at John Bradshaw Layfield as he posed on the ropes to further anger the fans. Great American Award Nominee Match Referee: Charles Robinson Rob Van Dam vs. Charlie Haas Rob Van Dam's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a Great American Award Nominee Match against Charlie Haas in a rematch from last week's edition of Smackdown! when Rob Van Dam pulled off the victory against Haas. The start: Rob Van Dam and Charlie Haas locked it up in the center of the ring and Charlie put Rob in a waist lock and then he took him down to the mat and went right into a front face lock and Rob Van Dam fought out of it and scared Charlie into the corner. Mid-match notes: A frustrated Charlie Haas threatened to use a steel chair on Rob Van Dam but the referee convinced him not to use it. Charlie Haas grabbed Rob Van Dam by the leg and pulled him towards the ring post and then he slammed his leg left into the ring post a couple times. Rob Van Dam knocked Haas down to the mat and then he hit him with the rolling thunder and pinned him for a two count. RVD then backed Haas into the corner and hit him with a forearm and then some shoulder blocks to the mid section. Rob Van Dam went to the top rope and went for the frog splash but Charlie Haas rolled out of the way to send RVD crashing down to the mat. Haas then charged at RVD but RVD dumped him over the top rope with a drop kick and then RVD knocked Haas down to the mats next to the steel chair with a baseball slide. Charlie Haas grabbed the steel chair and lifted it up into the head of Rob Van Dam as Rob came over the top rope with a high cross body, crashing into the steel chair. With both men down on the outside of the ring, the referee started the count and counted both men out of the ring. The finish: Kurt Angle came out and said that's not going to cut it. This is Smackdown! where there are winners and losers and when a decision can't be reached, the next logical step is to determine who was ahead on points. Kurt Angle watched the match and it's obvious to him who is clearly ahead on points. The next nominee for the Kurt Angle Great American Award and the winner of this match is Charlie Haas! Winner - Charlie Haas The Aftermath: A pumped up Charlie Haas celebrated his win on the outside of the ring as Rob Van Dam was noticeably upset at Kurt Angle's decision. Backstage: Booker T was shown with Kurt Angle and Booker said that he's not feeling it at all. Kurt tried to tell Booker how important he is. He's a five time WCW Champion and a prime time player. All Kurt wants to know is what can he do to make Booker happy? Booker said he gets no respect around here. Last week, the Smackdown! audience booed him and that's the first time that ever happened. Everyone knows that he's the biggest thing that ever hit Smackdown!. Booker didn't do anything but tell the truth and Eddie Guerrero attacked him. Eddie Guerrero is a minor league player and if Booker T was the WWE Champion, the whole world would have a Champion we could be proud of. Kurt said that he can't agree with Booker on everything, but he agrees with his passion and he's going to make a great WWE Champion. Which is why tonight, Kurt is going to put him in a match. If he wins that match tonight, he is going to be a nominee for the Kurt Angle Great American Award and not only that, he'll have the chance to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship. Remember the guy that got in your face on Smackdown! last week? Kurt is going to do a major favor tonight because he just made the list; it's Booker T vs. Hardcore Holly and that's next. Great American Award Nominee Match Referee: Nick Patrick Booker T vs. Hardcore Holly Booker T's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one match against Hardcore Holly and this is yet another Great American Award Nominee Match! The start: Hardcore Holly and Booker T exchanged words and then the two locked it up and Booker gave Holly a knee to the mid section and then a clubbing blow to the back of the head and then some right hands and chops right into the corner. Mid-match notes: Booker T gave Hardcore Holly a clothesline to knock himself and Holly over the top rope to the arena floor. Booker T kicked Hardcore Holly in the face to knock him to the outside of the ring and then Booker got out of the ring and rearranged the steel steps. Booker grabbed Holly and went to suplex Holly onto the steel steps but Holly countered it into a suplex of his own on the arena floor. Booker T rolled Holly up for a two count and then he knocked Holly down with a super kick and then a pin for another two count. Booker T planted Holly with the Book End and then he covered him but only got a two count as Hardcore Holly was somehow able to kick out. The finish: Hardcore Holly went for a power slam but Booker T got out of it and he rolled Holly up, hooking the tights to pick up the victory. Winner - Booker T Referee: Jim Korderas The Dudley Boyz vs. Akio and Sakoda The music of the Dudley Boyz hit in the arena and they made their way out to the ring for a tag team contest against Akio and Sakoda. The start: Bubba Ray and Sakoda started it off in the ring and the two locked it up and Bubba went behind Sakoda and then he put him in a side headlock and Sakoda battled out of it with a couple shots to the mid section and then a whip off the ropes and Bubba Ray Dudley came back with a hard shoulder knock down to send Sakoda down to the mat. The finish: The Dudley Boyz hit Akio with the 3D and then D-Von covered him for the three count to pick up the win! Winners - The Dudley Boyz Backstage: Spike Dudley was shown backstage with an ice pack on his neck and the Dudleys showed up and started talking. Theodore Long showed up and said that they're all there to represent Smackdown! and it's a brand new start. Theodore asked for a new beginning because with a little advice from Theodore R. Long, he can take them all to the top, the land of the dollar bill. Theodore Long whipped out some playas cards and gave it to the Dudleys, but he didn't have one for Spike Dudley. Backstage: Bradshaw's limo driver was shown polishing the limo and Eddie Guerrero pulled up in a bright orange low rider and the fans went nuts as he showed up at the arena. Eddie got out of the low rider and took a look at Bradshaw's limo and he greeted the limo driver and Eddie asked who's limo is this? The driver said that it's Bradshaw's limo and Eddie left, saying odelay. Great American Award Nominee Handicap Match Referee: Brian Hebner John Cena vs. Johnny Stamboli and Nunzio Rene Dupree's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring along with his dog Fifi. Dupree joined Michael Cole and Tazz for a bit of commentary during this next match, which is Nuznio and Johnny Stamboli against John Cena in a Handicap Match and this is a Great American Award Nominee Match! John Cena worked the mic prior to the match to anger Rene Dupree. The start: Johnny Stamboli started the match off in the ring against John Cena and the two exchanged words and Cena knocked Stamboli down with a hard right hand and then the two locked it up in the center of the ring. Stamboli put Cena in a hammer lock and then he gave him a shot to the back. Mid-match notes: Johnny Stamboli and Nunzio went to spike piledriver Cena but Cena countered it with a slingshot to knock Nunzio down from the top rope. The finish: John Cena grabbed Johnny Stamboli and planted him with the FU and then the pin for the three count to pick up the win. Winner - John Cena The Aftermath: John Cena got out of the ring and he taunted Rene Dupree who was very protective of his dog, Fifi. Backstage: Kurt Angle was shown backstage and he said that it looks like we have four nominees for the Kurt Angle Great American Award and all four of them want to be the winner and number one contender for the WWE Championship. Kurt said speaking of Championships, he wants to see Eddie Guerrero in the ring because he has a major announcement that effects him, next! In ring promo: Kurt Angle's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the General Manager of Smackdown!. Kurt took the mic and said that he is pretty impressed with the Smackdown! locker room tonight. Obviously, Triple H wouldn't have made it five seconds here. Kurt is glad he traded him. Anyway, the first annual Kurt Angle Great American Award winner will be announced next week on Smackdown!. And since he values the Smackdown! fans, he is giving them the power to vote for the winner. You can vote on wwe.com up until midnight on Monday. Remember, not only does the winner receive this award but he will also be the number one contender to face Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Championship. You know, the more Eddie Guerrero lies, cheats and steals, the more he desecrates this country. Eddie Guerrero's music hit in the arena and he drove his low rider into the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the WWE Champion and he stood face to face with Kurt Angle. Kurt started to say something but Eddie Guerrero took the mic right from him before he could speak. Kurt requested another microphone and he got one. Kurt said that as he was saying, he doesn't appreciate... Eddie cut him off, saying odelay, holmes. Eddie said that he knows Kurt is the General Manager now, but he has a question. If Eddie Guerrero is such a threat to Kurt Angle, Smackdown! and to the entire country, why doesn't Kurt Angle just do something about it right here, right now. Kurt said that he is the General Manager and that he is not going to fight Eddie because he's something that Eddie will never be; responsible. Kurt wanted Eddie to come out here because he wants to introduce him to someone that all of these fans can be proud of. Eddie asked who it is and Kurt told him to hold on a second there. He's a man that clotheslined Eddie Guerrero to hell last week on Smackdown!. As a matter a fact, he is now the fifth and final nominee for the Kurt Angle Great American Award and that's none other than John Bradshaw Layfield. Bradshaw's music then hit in the arena and he rode out into the arena in his limo and he popped out of the back of it with a smirk on his face. Bradshaw climbed to the top of the limo and he told Kurt that he is honored to be nominated for the Great American Award. And he's sure of one thing and that is that he is a shoe in for this award because who better to represent America than the essence of success in America, Bradshaw? Bradshaw grew up in a small town of Sweetwater, Texas and he went to the local college and then played pro football. He left that town and state to go to the place he called home, the greatest city in the world, New York City. He now lives in Central Park and he now makes more in a week than most people make in a year. And he has earned every dime. He has inherited nothing and he has not been given anything. What greater success stories are there in America than him? He is an author of a book and on May 1st, he becomes a radio talk show host. He works on network TV as a financial political analyst and he talks about America. You can see him this week at 11:30am EST on Fox News. Bradshaw promised that you'll learn something this Saturday morning. Bradshaw then said "I'll be damned, it's Eddie Guerrero" as if to say he didn't know Eddie was out there. Bradshaw said that he sees how hot headed Eddie is and he mentioned last week and how it was just business. It had nothing to do with Eddie Guerrero, its business and that is how you make an impact. Bradshaw told Eddie that he has something he wants and what he wants, he gets. And no, it's not Eddie's little car, it's the WWE Championship that he has right there on his shoulder. He wants it and he's going to take it from him. You can call it a hostile takeover or whatever you want, but Eddie has no choice in this matter. He's taking the Championship and there's nothing Eddie can do about it. Understand this; impact players make impacts and this isn't personal, it's just business. Eddie Guerrero said that in that case, he'll make it personal. Eddie Guerrero then got out of the ring and went over to Bradshaw's limo and tried to get at Bradshaw but Bradshaw got back inside the limo to get away from Eddie Guerrero. Eddie took Bradshaw's hat and Bradshaw said that's a thousand dollar hat and he wants it back. Eddie challenged Bradshaw to come back and get it and Bradshaw said that he's in a three thousand dollar suit. Eddie poked fun at the size of Bradshaw's hat and then he treated the hat like crap to further anger Bradshaw. Eddie got the fans to pour things into Bradshaw's hat from food to water to beer to soda. Eddie Guerrero then brought the hat in the ring and set it down and stomped away on it to destroy it and Bradshaw was pissed off but he didn't get out of the limo to do anything about it. The show ended with Bradshaw telling Eddie Guerrero that he's going to pay for this as Eddie Guerrero tossed the hat to the crowd.

What you didnt see on the show:

Thanks to Alan Edwards for the following: Hey, I just came down from SmackDown at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. It was a decent show, about ¾ full. Most of the fans were really quiet most of the night, but left happy after Undertaker made a late appearance. The end of the Booker T vs Hardcore Holly match was botched when Booker failed to properly grab Holly’s tights in time for the cheap win. Minutes later, Holly came back out and challenged Booker to “wrestle without cheating to win.” Booker came down, and all they did was repeat the botched spot in the exact same place for another Booker T victory. This time, however, he got a handful of tights. The fans weren’t happy about this scene. Most of the matches went well, but the Holly/Booker match seemed to drag on all night. The crowd fell totally silent, and many left for the concession stands. Before the match, Booker cut an anti-Ohio promo from backstage to avoid face pops. It didn’t help too much. Post-show, nothing really happened. Taker took his time leaving the arena, and Bradshaw eventually recovered from the Tombstone and stumbled off. After the show Bradshaw calls out Eddie but instead gets Undertaker.

Bradshaw and Taker stand in the ring and Bradshaw is really nervous. He delivers a funny speech about a lot of things like how they are from Texas are veterans and go way back. He says stuff like I could punch you out right now but I don’t want to I wanted Eddie to come out. Bradshaw ends up getting a choke slam then a tombstone.

3/25/04

Smackdown for March 25th opened with a recap of the Draft Lottery from this past Monday. Results from the lottery saw:

- Leaving Smackdown for Raw: Rhyno, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Shelton Benjamin, Nidia, Edge and Paul Heyman.

- Coming to Smackdown from Raw: Rene Dupree, Mark Jindrak, Rob Van Dam, Theodore R. Long, Triple H and Spike Dudley. Following the draft, Paul Heyman quit, refusing to work for Eric Bischoff on Raw.

Michael Cole and Tazz welcomed us to the show, and Triple H's music started to play. However, Kurt Angle, wearing a suit, came out instead. Angle said he would explain why Triple H wasn't there, but first, he wanted to talk about who would be the new General Manager of Smackdown, and revealed that it was him. Tazz said he was sure it would be Stephanie McMahon, and he and Cole were shocked that Angle is the new General Manager. Angle said he was putting his wrestling career on hold in order to help Smackdown. Angle then announced that in his first act as General Manager, he traded Triple H back to Raw. Angle said that he got The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray & D-Von, and Booker T for Triple H. Booker T came out, not looking happy at all.

Booker T said he was not happy to be on Smackdown, and that he didn't have anything to do with his life being turned upside down. Booker said he didn't want to disrespect the Smackdown fans, but the Raw fans appreciated him. Booker said that Smackdown is the "minor leagues" compared to Raw. Booker said there was some great talent on Smackdown, but he was better than all of them. Booker said he didn't want to be on Smackdown. Angle said Smackdown is not the minor leagues, but agreed that Booker is a bigger star than anyone on Smackdown, but that is why he traded for him to begin with. Angle said the Smackdown fans aren't appreciative, but together, he and Booker could change that. The fans were now solidly booing Booker.

A video package on the Smackdown UK tour was shown.

Rob Van Dam vs. Charlie Haas.

They showed an interview with Rob Van Dam, saying he was thrilled to be on Smackdown, and that he could now be called "Mr. Thursday Nights". They also showed how Shelton Benjamin was drafted to Raw, leaving Haas without a partner. They locked up, with Haas taking RVD down with a fireman's carry. After some more back and forth, RVD unloaded with some kicks, but Haas came back with a slam, only to be given repeated armdrags by Van Dam. RVD went to the top rope, but Haas shoved him off to the floor. In the ring, RVD had his bottom leg tied in the ropes, and Haas stomped it. Haas applied a half crab, then went back to kicking the leg, until RVD hit a back leg kick. Van Dam hit another back leg kick, then a corkscrew legdrop. Van Dam hit the rolling somersault senton splash. Van Dam went for a monkey flip, but Haas blocked it and rolled up RVD with his feet on the ropes, the referee refused to count. RVD went for shoulderblocks in the corner, but Haas kicked Van Dam in the face as he charged in. Haas pulled the pad off a turnbuckle, but took too long in doing so, and RVD rolled up Haas in a small package for the win in six minutes. Winner: Rob Van Dam.

They recapped how Rene Dupree was drafted to Smackdown this past Monday.

The big brawl that ended Raw this Monday was shown. Cole and Tazz then put over their brand as being better than Raw.

Billy Kidman vs. Rene Dupree.

Rene Dupree got ownership of Fifi, so that debate is now settled. Kidman hit a rana early and took Dupree down with an armdrag. Kidman missed a baseball slide to the floor, and Dupree rammed Kidman into the security wall. Dupree whipped Kidman hard into the turnbuckles, and did his "French Tickler" dance before hitting a fistdrop. Dupree applied a bearhug, but Kidman got out with a jawbreaker. Kidman booted a charging Dupree twice, hit a reverse elbow off the second rope, and a enzugiri, but Dupree came back with a powerslam for two. Kidman hit a dropkick, and went to the top, but Dupree crotched him and delivered a kneelift while Kidman was hanging off the ropes. Dupree hit a Michinoku Driver variation, and got the pin at the four minute mark. Winner: Rene Dupree.

As Dupree celebrated his win, John Cena came out. Cena welcomed Dupree to the show, saying that Tazz is a thug, and Michael Cole is gay. Cena did a rap advising Dupree of how to survive on Smackdown, then tossed some insults at him to finish. Dupree didn't seem to appreciate it, but there was no physical confrontation.

They showed a clip of Undertaker giving Paul Heyman a tombstone last week.

Josh Matthews interviewed Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty about the change in General Managers from Paul Heyman to Kurt Angle. Teddy Long interrupted, saying he is looking for one great man or team to represent and guide to the top. Teddy talked about how he can make Rikishi & Scotty into huge stars.

Backstage, Eddie Guerrero, Shannon Moore, Orlando Jordan, Rey Mysterio and Funaki were exchanging pleasantries with Rob Van Dam and Spike Dudley. Eddie went up to Booker T, who was still in a bad mood. Eddie put over Booker, saying he would love it on Smackdown. Booker said he liked it where he was. Booker said Eddie was just a champion of the "minor leagues". Guerrero got angry over Booker insulting the history of the WWE Title and all the Smackdown superstars. Booker told Guerrero to consider himself "insulted". Guerrero charged Booker, and the wrestlers had to pull them apart.

The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von) vs. Doug & Danny Basham.

The Bashams have new ring gear, no more S&M look. Bubba & D-Von worked over Danny, who kneed D-Von in the gut and tagged in Doug. D-Von hit Doug with a reverse elbow and a slam for a two count. Bubba tagged in and gave Doug a neckbreaker for two. Bubba hit some crossfaces on Doug and tagged in D-Von for a flapjack. Danny switched in when the referee wasn't looking and gave D-Von a back suplex. Doug tagged back in as the Bashams started working over D-Von. Doug applied an abdominal stretch, with Danny reaching in to provide leverage. The Bashams tagged in and out until D-Von hit Doug with a spear and tagged in Bubba Ray. Bubba backdropped Doug, clotheslined Danny, and gave Doug a neckbreaker for two. Bubba hit an avalanche and side slam on Doug, but Danny broke up the cover. Bubba threw Danny out of the ring, and Doug was given the What's Up headbutt. Danny ran in, and was given 3D. Bubba pinned Danny at the five minute mark. Winners: The Dudley Boyz.

Booker came into Kurt Angle's office, complaining about Eddie Guerrero attacking him. Angle said Eddie Guerrero would respect him by the end of the night. Angle said Guerrero wrestled him at Wrestlemania, then wrestled every night in Europe for a week, then had to wrestle Triple H on Monday. Angle said that Guerrero would now have to wrestle Booker T tonight, with the title on the line.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Sr. came to ringside, arguing with the Dudley Boyz who were still out at the ring.

Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Spike Dudley.

Spike and Chavo traded hammerlocks and wristlocks at the start. They started to slug it out, and Spike teased the Dudley Dog early, but Chavo threw Spike over the top rope and to the floor. Spike slowly rolled into the ring, and Chavo covered for two. Chavo whipped Spike into the corner, then applied an abdominal stretch variation. Spike elbowed a charging Chavo twice, and fired off some right hands, then hit a reverse atomic drop and a clothesline for two. Spike headbutted Chavo in the gut and rolled him up with a small package for two. Spike went to the top rope, but Chavo met him there and the two slugged it out. Spike knocked Chavo to the mat and hit a top rope double stomp for two. Chavo whipped Spike into the corner, and went for the Gory Bomb, but Spike reversed it into a sunset flip for two. Spike went for a second rope dropkick, but Chavo dodged it and hit a drop down over-the -shoulder backbreaker for the win in four minutes. Winner: Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Post-match, Bubba Ray and D-Von consoled a angry Spike, who was upset over losing.

Michael Cole and Tazz discussed how Bradshaw turned his back on Faarooq last week, and footage from the breakup of the APA was shown.

Bradshaw came to the ring in a suit and cowboy hat, introduced as John Bradshaw Layfield. Bradshaw said he was misunderstood last week. He said that when Paul Heyman quit on Monday, he knew he had the chance to bring Ron Simmons (calling him Ron Simmons) back and reform the APA. He said Ron Simmons was his best friend, and they spend a lot of time on the road together. Bradshaw said he could bring him back, but he won't. Bradshaw started bragging about his financial prowess. Bradshaw said he succeeded at everything but wrestling, and that was because he never concentrated at it, instead having fun by drinking beer, playing cards and visiting the troops. Bradshaw said he was now going to make an impact, and "Business is about to pick up".

A video package on "Walking Tall" starring the Rock, was shown.

Booker T was walking in the back, getting angry glares from several wrestlers. Bob Holly got in his face, saying they all heard what he said about Smackdown, and none of them wanted Booker on the brand either. Holly said that when Eddie Guerrero is done tearing him apart, there was a long line of Smackdown talent looking to do the same.

WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. Booker T.

Eddie made his usual lowrider entrance, and they went to break before the opening bell.

The bell rang, and they locked up, with Booker breaking clean on the ropes. Eddie hit a pair of armdrags, and also broke clean on the ropes. Eddie hit a drop toe hold and applied a headlock. Booker didn't break clean on the ropes, and started punching and chopping Guerrero. Booker hit a back elbow for a two count. Guerrero came back with chops and punches, and applied a rear chinlock. Booker broke out and hit a clothesline, then applied his own chinlock, before going into a surfboard. Eddie broke out with a back suplex, then hit a slingshot somersault senton for a two count. Booker came back with knees in the corner, but ran into a boot. Booker hit a flapjack, then delivered a back kick for a two count. Eddie hit Booker with a dropkick, but Booker dropped Guerrero gut first on the top rope. Guerrero fell to the floor as they went to commercial.

Back from break, Booker had Guerrero in a chinlock. We saw that during the break, Booker dropped Guerrero gut first on the security wall. Back to live action, Guerrero escaped the chinlock with a belly to belly suplex. Booker grabbed a sleeperhold, and Guerrero started to fade. Booker switched to a cover, and got a two count, then went back to the sleeper. Guerrero elbowed out and hit a flapjack. Guerrero went to the top, but Booker met him there and hit a superplex. Booker covered Eddie for a two count. Booker hit a sideslam on Guerrero for a two count, then went to a chinlock. Guerrero tried to escape, and Booker kneed him in the gut and choked him against the ropes. Booker chopped Guerrero in a corner, but Guerrero fired back with his own chops and punches. Eddie hit a pair of lariats, then took Booker down with a headscissors as Booker tried a side slam. Guerrero went for a vertical suplex, but Booker floated over and hit the Bookend for a near fall. Booker chopped Guerrero, and went for a sunset flip, getting two. Booker hit a superkick, then looked at his hand is if to do the Spinaroonie, but covered Guerrero instead for two. Booker set Eddie up for the ax kick, but Guerrero moved out of the way and hit the Triple Vertical suplexes. Guerrero then hit the frog splash, but Bradshaw ran in and attacked Guerrero, ending the match in a DQ after fifteen minutes. Winner via disqualification: Eddie Guerrero.

Post-match, Booker T just rolled out of the ring, while Bradshaw continued to stomp Guerrero, delivering the Clothesline From Hell and leaving the champion laying. The announcers said Bradshaw "made an impact" tonight, as the show ended.

John Cena kicks us off with a monstrous hometown reaction. Cena cuts a great rap with local flavor ("I'm more controversial than gay marriage," "I'm like the Big Dig - no one can finish me," "I bring home championships like Tom Brady." After the gay marriage crack, he apologized to Cole and hoped they were still cool. Cena got the crowd to chant "Yankees Suck," which isn't that hard. Heyman came out and confronted him. Heyman said the rumors are true, Brock Lesnar is gone. He blamed it on ingrates like Cena who never appreciated all Lesnar accomplished and turned their back on him last week. Heyman explained that he would pick names out at random Monday to build the new Smackdown roster and he prays Cena isn't on the list. Heyman gets face to face with Cena and slaps him, Cena floors him, and Rhyno makes the save.

John Cena over Rhyno. Nothing much here. Cena wins with the FU.

Edge video gets another good pop.

APA laughs at Heyman in the back after being punked out by Cena. This sparks Heyman's ire, and he says you're fired if you don't win the tag titles next.

Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty over APA to retain. Rikishi hits Bradshaw with a superkick to win it. APA are down in the dumps, and stand in the ring with their hands on their hips after the loss expecting some kind of ovation. They didn't really get one.

APA storm into Heyman's office and Bradshaw dares Heyman to actually fire them. Heymen clarifies that he never said he would fire both of them, rather he said it only to Faarooq ("I'll fire you" in the singular, you see). Heyman said he values Bradshaw because he's published a book and appears on Fox News (next Smackdown champ Sean Hannity?). Heyman calls Faarooq excess baggage. Faarooq is ready to walk out when Bradshaw hesitates, and Faarooq walks out alone with the "after all these years" tone. Good segment.

Heymen has Haas, Benjamin, Misterio, and Gunn in a room and is promising revenge for the mutiny last week. Apparently these were the only guys who turned on Heyman. Heyman sets up a gaunlet series with the winner getting a WWE title shot tonight. He makes Haas v. Benjamin match #1.

Shelton Benjamin over Charlie Haas with the roundhouse kick. Started very slow with drawn-out armbars and the such. Crowd had boring chants but weren't too harsh. I have the feeling "educating the audience" is going to be the euphamism for "uninteresting match" for the next few months. After a series of sumbissions that went nowhere, Benjamin won abruptly with the spin kick he does after getting one foot caught. Haas and Bejamin hugged after the match and got a good pop.

They actually played an ad for the Boston UPN 10 pm newscast in the arena. Like anyone's going to be home in time to catch it.

We catch up with Bradshaw kissing up to Faarooq as he storms out of the building. "Come on, I need the network TV exposure, can't we still be friends," Bradshaw says. Not bad. I get the feeling though that this is being done not because it freshens up APA, but because it provides a reason to split the two up Monday night.

Shelton Benjamin over Billy Gunn. The gaunlet continues. Nothing match. Benjamin dodged the famouser and schoolboyed Gunn for the pin. I can just imagine the rating for this quarter.

Big Show is out, but won't be fighting yet. He tells Benjamin to catch his breath on the outside. Show does a boring promo about how Cena cheated by using his "Word Life knuckles" at Mania. He's just "another Boston street punk." What is the difference between a Boston street punk and any other punk? What type of punk is CM Punk?

Rey Misterio over Shelton Benjamin. So Benjamin catches his breath and then loses. Quick match. Misteiro won with the 619 and the Drop of the Dime legdrop. Show watches the screen with a hungry smile on his face.

They play Hall of Fame ceremony clips. When they showed Heenan wishing Monsoon were there, someone in the audience said, "Who? Is that his son?" You figure it out.

Rey Misterio over Big Show. Show throws Misterio around for five minutes until Cena's music hit to a bigger pop than when he first came out. Show stepped out of the ring and pointed at Cena, whho heckled Show with the US Title. Misteiro jumped through the ropes with a 619 on the outside. Cena hit Show with the title and Show bumped into the post and was counted out.

Eddy Guerrero over Rey Misterio to retain. Really good match (***1/2 - ***3/4). Guerrero was the one guy all night to work a body part (the arm) that actually factored into the story of the match. Misterio hit a wonderful top rope Asai Moonsault to the floor. Guerrero answered with a superplex for two. They attempted the springboard moonsault DDT spot from Havoc 97 but Misterio couldn't quite flip all the way. Misterio got a great near fall after finding a sunset flip out of Guerrero's 3-suplex spot. Guerrero went on to hit the thrid suplex but missed a frog splash. Misterio hit a 619 but missed the West Coast Pop. Guerrero then wrapped the injured arm in a magistral-like cradle and pinned Misterio clean for the win.

Heyman came out hollering about the match being too Hispanic with two Luchadores. He said he felt like English was the second language on Smackdown. He said he hoped they were deported, not drafted, this Monday. Heyman said no one can stop him from achieving his vision for Smackdown and The Undertaker's music hit. He made another fantastic entrance (the live visuals of the Mania comeback was really something to behold). Taker got in the ring, Heyman was pushed by Eddy and Misterio into Taker, who tombstoned Heyman. The ring went purple and that was that.

****end of show***

All told, a perfectly fine show. It sags a little in the middle, but you really got the sense that they didn't care because all the cards were going to be reshuffled Monday. Should be interesting. Show ran about 10 minutes long, so they'll have to cut some stuff.

3/11/04

OK first off is John Cena. He makes a freestyle rap about how fat Big Show is. Out comes his opponent THE LAST ECW WORLD AND TV CHAMPION AHHH!

Cena vs. Rhyno

Cena and Rhyno start off with some back and forth action. Cena counters a Irish whip from Rhyno with the throwback. From here Cena pins him after a suplex. Cena gets a 2 and tries to charge Rhyno except he gets spinebusted. Both men get to their feet before 10. Tazz and Cole complain about Austin being here tonight despite them supporting Lesnar on RAW. When Cena and Rhyno get to their feet Cena nails a bunch of clotheslines then pumps his shoes and hits the 5 knuckle shuffle. Rhyno gets up and gets hit by the FU.

Winner: John Cena

Cole and Tazz feel its impossible for Cena to FU Big Show despite him doing it like 2 or 3 times before.

In the back Dawn Marie who looks like a super hero is telling the SD jobbers and Rey Mysterio to go to the ring. Billy Gunn walks by Scotty and Rikishi and somebody says “oh you didn’t know” as Billy walks by. No doubt they are making fun of him because those were is best days and yet they were so long ago.

Commercials- Oh look UPN brought back the lowest rated show on air the mullets back.

Paul Heyman is in the back with all of the SD talent. He says he has a vision for SD. He goes off about how SD gives you people money, gives them nice clothes and pays for their kid’s education. He says tonight Austin wants to come in our house tonight and pretty much tear everything up. He goes on about how Lesnar is the SD locker room captain and on and on and on. Anyway Heyman doesn’t want Austin here but he is because his truck is shown in the garage.

Commercials

A video of the HOF is shown. I have seen this thing like 45 times now, enough.

Were back and the best cruiserweight on SD is out on commentary that’s Chavo obviously.

Rey Mysterio walks out and is clearly doing it 619 style much like his shirt says he is doing.

Rey Mysterio vs. Jamie Noble

Rey and Noble start off exchanging armlocks. I really hate it when people call Mysterio “Rey-Rey.” My TV messes up a bit and Rey is on the apron getting beat on by Noble. Noble tries a superplex but Rey shoves him off and hits a top rope splash but misses. Noble follows up with an abdominal stretch. Rey counters the hold and hits a bulldog. Noble gets up and sends Rey into the corner but Rey jumps up and hits a moonsault. Rey lets Noble up and gives the drop toe hold on Noble and ties a 619 but the Japanese mafia come out and beat up Rey. I find it funny how Sakoda is in this group but he is not a CW. The rest of the CW run out and screw up the match. Charles Robinson aka the worlds coolest referee since WCW restarts the match making it an 8 man tag. SOB I hate recapping tag matches much less one with 8 people.

Rey Mysterio, Funaki, Ultimo Dragon and Billy Kidman vs. Noble and the Kyo Dai or whatever there called just as long as its not the Yakuza.

Tajiri and Dragon are in the ring. Dragon has an armlock on Tajiri and tags in Kidman who does a sunset flip on Tajiri in the ring for 2. He does something else but before I saw what it was Funaki is in. See why I hate tags? Tajiri kicks Funaki a bit then tags in Akio. Akio has a camel clutch on Funaki. Funaki breaks the hold but Akio uses a flashy kick to knock him down. In comes the only CW in the match Sakoda. Sakoda uses a tree of woe on Funaki then follows up with a chin lock. Sakoda tags in Noble. Noble clotheslines Funaki and Rey. The faces try to get into the ring but the ref distracts them and the heels beat on Funaki. Cole and Tazz are arguing and Cole gets shut down quite a bit and refrains from announcing. Chavo SR then commentates in Spanish. Ok anyway. Funaki bulldogs Noble and tags in Rey. From here on out everybody is fighting everybody. Rey ends up hitting his only move the 619 on Noble. Chavo SR gets on the apron and this allows his son to get hit by Rey. West coats pop Rey wins.

Winners: The Mexican, the 2 Japs and Kidman.

Post Match: Shannon Moore and Nunzio jump Rey.

In the back Heyman is talking to the FBI when somebody gets on Heyman’s walkie talkie and says Austin is by the beer stand. Heyman then runs away screaming “Brock, Brock” like a little girl.

Commercials

Recap of what happened last week with Eddie Guerrero and Angle.

Eddie comes out and gets on the microphone and calls out Angle. He tells Angle this is his chance to be a hero and get rid of him. He says all of the talk Angle does is nothing more then just that, talk. He goes on to say he isn’t fooling anybody when he talks about being justified in what he is doing to Eddie. Kurt still doesn’t come out. Eddie says after he wins at mania he plans on lying more, stealing more and cheating more.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Shelton Benjamin

The WGTT has awesome new blue and gold outfits! Eddie and $Helton start off with some quick Irish whips until Charles Hass trips Eddie. $helton hits an exploder suplxes on Eddie. Eddie gets up and they mix it up some more. Again Hass tries to trip Eddie but this time the referee sends him away. Well Eddie its not as fun when you get cheated is it?

Commercials

We're back and Eddie has an abdominal stretch locked in on Shelton. Eddie breaks the hold but Shelton hits a spinebuster on Eddie. Shelton follows up with a back body drop, then a face plant. He covers Eddie but gets a 2. Shelton hits Eddie with some punches. Eddie no sells them and nails Shelton with a bunch of clotheslines. Eddie then hits the 3 suplexes that he stole from Simon Diamond. Shelton breaks free of the suplexes but the ref gets knocked out. Out comes Charlie Hass who grabs the belt and sends it to Shelton. Shelton gets the belt dropkicked into his face. In comes Charlie who gets hit with the belt too. Shelton gets up but gets hit again. The ref gets up and instead of tossing the belt out Eddie lays down too. If the ref was smart he would know Eddie is cheating but since its Nick Patrick I don’t think that will happen. Eddie gets up and hits the frog splash.

Winner: Eddie Guerrero

Post match Angle walks out and points to himself.

Commercials

An unnecessary clip of Torrie and Sable promoting their naked bodies is shown.

In the back Paul learns that his security team lost Austin. Paul runs into Orlando Jordan and says if he is going to do the right thing. I addressed this on RAW and man oh man will a Jordan and Austin match ROCK! Jordan gets the biggest pop he will ever get when he says he respects Austin. Paul tells Jordan to do the right thing.

Big Show vs. 2 Jobbers

Big Show beats 2 Jobbers

Post match Cena attacks Big Show. He grabs Show’s US title and poses a little with it.

Commercials

Recap of last week when the APA I mean the WGTT made fun of the APA by singing the West Texas Redneck’s theme.

In the back Heyman is talking to the Old PA. He questions their loyalty to SD and they get mad. Nothing special.

Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty vs. The Basham Brother

I am sorry for all the Basham Brother fans out there but due to the fact I really hate Rikishi and Bradshaw I don’t really like recapping them so I wont LOL.

Anyway pretty much what happens is the Basham Brothers tag in and out and keep beating up Scotty 2 Hotty. Unfortunately Rikishi gets tagged and hits some stupid moves and sends Doug into the corner so he can hopefully shove his @$$ in his face. But Danny switches but Rikishi magically knew and super kicked Danny and won.

Winners: Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi

Highlight video of the Lesnar/Goldberg feud is shown.

There is a shot of the parking lot of where Austin’s truck was. But not anymore!

Commercials

You know the SD roster didn’t seem to care when Austin showed up in Iraq to stun Big Show or Cena.

Clip of Kane knocking over the casket on RAW and the ring flying out into orbit is shown.

WM card is rundown. If I were booking WM the following people would be taken off the card in order to make it not as crowded: APA, Scotty and Rikishi, Duddley Boys, La Resistance, Jackie, Stacy, Torrie, Sable and HBK. BTW the Basham Brothers would still be the tag champs. But I think WM would be a lot better if those people were taken off the card.

Out comes Paul Heyman with the SD roster.

Commercials

Paul says there is a guy who doesn’t belong here tonight. Cough Bob Holly Cough. No it’s Austin. Paul says he is proud to introduce the very vision of SD. BROOOOOCCCCKKK LESSSSSNERRR! Out comes Lesnar on the ATV. He runs over the entire right side of the SD rosters feet thus ruining 5 WM matches due to broken feet. Tazz and Cole say this all started when Goldberg cost him his title. What about Rumble now? Riiiight! Lesnar begs Austin to come out on his show. He begs Austin to come get his ATV. Out comes the most over guy on SD a RAW guy. Austin drives Lesnar private jet down the aisle. The SD roster closes up and Billy Palumbo and Chuck Palumbo start a chain reaction and step aside. The roster does nothing. Jordan stands his ground but Austin gives him the “stone cold” glare and he backs down. Ahhh that would have been a great feud LOL. Austin finally runs into Big Show. They stare down and then Big Show does some stupid point and Austin walks by. Show leaves and the roster follows. Cole suggests mutiny. Austin gets on the ATV and loads it onto Lesnar’s private jet. Austin and Lesnar then fight in the aisle way. Austin gets the better of Brock after he rams his head into the ring post. Austin gets in the ring and stuns Heyman. Lesnar is back and he is bleeding. Lesnar tries an F5 but it doesn’t work. Austin tries a stunner but Lesnar counters. Lesnar then walks up the ramp. Austin’s music hits the end. The Lesnar match at Mania seems more like Austin vs. Lesnar as opposed to Lesnar and Goldberg. In actuality there was no private jet. Austin instead load the ATV in his truck. See I lied when I said he drove down in Lesnar’s private jet. He really drove down in his truck.
