WWE Survivor Series Opener:
The show opened up with a video package, hyping up tonight's event and this is a RAW and Smackdown! joint pay per view event. As the fireworks went off in the arena, "Build a Bridge" by Limp Bizkit played in the arena and that's the official theme song of the 2003 Survivor Series!
Survivor Series Elimination Match
Referee: Brian Hebner
Team Angle (Angle, Cena, Benoit, Bradshaw & Holly)
vs.
Team Lesnar (Lesnar, Big Show, Jones, Morgan & A-Train)
John Cena's music hit in the arena and the opening contest for tonight's event is a classic Survivor Series Match with Team Angle against Team Lesnar. When Cena got to the ring, he said this whole pay per view is ass backwards; the main event is on first. He comes through the curtains like a fetus, the rest of them are just afterbirth. Cena continued on with his rap, getting a laugh from the crowd and then the rest of Team Angle made their way out to the ring for this Survivor Series Elimination Match.
The start:
As Brock Lesnar attempted to get in the ring, Hardcore Holly went right at it with him, attacking him with a number of right hands and then whipping him into the steel steps. Holly continued to hammer away on Lesnar and the referee tried to restrain him but he shoved Brian Hebner down to the ground. Team Angle then restrained Holly and the referee sent Bob Holly to the back on a disqualification.
Moments after they got in the ring, Bradshaw laid out A-Train with the Clothesline from Hell and then he pinned him for the three count to eliminate him.
Shortly after that, Bradshaw went for the Clothesline from Hell on The Big Show but Nathan Jones hit him and then Big Show planted Bradshaw with a choke slam to eliminate him.
The Big Show went for the choke slam on Chris Benoit but Benoit countered it into the Crossface but Brock immediately got in the ring to break the hold.
When Kurt Angle was tagged into the match, he gave Matt Morgan a series of German suplexes and then Nathan Jones got in the ring but Angle gave him a shot to the knees to knock him down. Brock then got in the ring and Angle gave him a German suplex and then he knocked Big Show from the ring apron. Nathan went for a boot on Angle but Angle dodged it and Jones knocked Morgan down to the mat. Angle then planted Matt Morgan with the Angle Slam and then pinned him for the three count to eliminate him.
The Big Show got in the ring and went to nail Angle but Angle once again dodged it and The Big Show charged right through Nathan Jones. Kurt Angle then put Nathan Jones in the ankle lock to force him to tap out.
Brock Lesnar immediately got in the ring and gave Kurt Angle the F5 and then pinned him for the three count to eliminate the captain of Team Angle.
Chris Benoit later put Brock Lesnar in the Crippler Crossface and Big Show was about to get in the ring but Cena got in the ring and stopped him as Lesnar countered the Crossface into a pin for a two count. Benoit maneuvered Brock back into the Crossface but Brock was able to get to the ropes. Chris Benoit finally eliminated Brock Lesnar with the Crippler Crossface, forcing him to tap out. After Brock tapped out, the fans heavily chanted "You tapped out!"
The Big Show gave Chris Benoit a choke slam and being that Benoit wasn't legal, as the referee was trying to get him out of the ring, John Cena grabbed his steel chain and nailed The Big Show in the head with it and then he miraculously lifted The Big Show over his head and planted him with a very impressive FU to pick up the victory for Team Angle!
Winners and Survivors - John Cena
The Aftermath:
Chris Benoit stood up and showed respect for John Cena and the two shook hands and clacked fists and then Cena left the ring as Benoit nodded in approval of John Cena.
Backstage:
Vince McMahon was shown in the backstage area and he entered his son's locker room, where he was getting ready for tonight. Vince told Shane that he knows he's preparing for his match and it should be a great one, but he wanted to let Shane know how he is feeling. Has it dawned on him what's going on? Father and son are competing in individual matches against two brothers; Kane and the Undertaker. When you think about it, it's ironic. There's a certain fate to it, a spirituality and Vince is feeling that. He is feeling protected by his higher power and he's wondering how Shane is feeling? Shane said the only thing he's feeling right now is sorry for Vince. With that, Vince left the room and walked into Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin and McMahon stood face to face and Austin smiled at Vince and laughed. Vince gave off a laugh of his own and the two stood there and laughed together until Austin got a serious look on his face. Austin then continued on through the hallway, plowing through Vince to push him back a bit and Vince seemed glad Austin didn't do anything to him.
Lita vs. Molly is next.
Women's Championship Match
Referee: Charles Robinson
Lita vs. Molly Holly (c)
Lita's music hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring for a shot at the Women's Title against the reigning and defending Champion, Molly Holly!
The start:
Lita and Molly locked it up in the center of the ring and Lita put Molly in a waist lock and Molly countered it into a waist lock of her own until Lita kicked Molly in the stomach and took her down with a hip lock take over.
Mid-match notes:
Molly knocked Lita into the corner and then she gave her a handspring elbow, shades of the Great Muta as said by Jim Ross.
Lita went to the top rope and came off with a high cross body on Molly into a pin for a two count.
The finish:
Molly couldn't believe Lita kicked out, so she yelled at the referee and then she went to the corner and exposed the middle turnbuckle. As she was doing that, Lita rolled her up for a two count. Molly then pulled Lita into the exposed turnbuckle and then pinned her for the three count to get the win and retain the Women's Championship.
Winner and still Women's Champion, Molly Holly
Kane vs. Shane, Ambulance match is next..
Ambulance Match
Referee: Chad Patton
Kane vs. Shane McMahon
In the arena, the ambulance was backed into the aisle way and Howard Finkel announced the following contest as the Ambulance Match. In this contest, the first person to put their opponent in the Ambulance and close the door will be the winner! On that note, Kane's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and it should be noted that there are no rules in a match of this type.
The start:
Shane got right in the ring and launched himself at Kane with a cross body to knock himself and Kane to the outside of the ring. On the outside, Shane hammered away on Kane as long as he could until Kane battled back on Shane O Mac.
Mid-match notes:
Kane grabbed the steel steps and went to hit Shane with them but Shane used a steel chair to smash the steps back into Kane's face. Shane then hit the steps while they were on Kane's head with the steel chair a number of times. Shane McMahon grabbed a television monitor from the announcer's table and nailed Kane in the head with it several times.
They come back out to ringside, and Shane rams Kane into the other ambulance truck. Shane then opens up the door to the back and slams it into Kane's face twice.
Kane appears to have a small cut on his head, but there's no bleeding.
Shane tries to load Kane into the truck, but Kane fights it, and then does the same to Shane. He's about to close the door, but Shane kicks it right back into Kane's face. He then DDTs Kane onto the floor.
Shane hits Kane with a trash can, and then goes up onto the truck. He tries to land on Kane, but lands on a box (which is clearly cardboard).
He tries to put Kane in the truck, but Kane won't let him do it. Kane then pulls Shane into the truck, but Shane wiggles his way out. Kane then runs out and throws Shane into the truck.
Kane continues to ram Shane into the side of the truck, prompting Shane O'Mac chants of encouragement. He then tombstones Shane onto the floor (a very bad camera angle reveals how fake it is).
Kane puts Shane into the ambulance. He wins.
Winner: Kane
BackStage:
Brock Lesnar is in the back telling Josh Matthews that he didn't tap out and didn't lose (even though he did), because he's the WWE champion. Goldberg then approaches them, and introduces himself to Lesnar. He then asks Lesnar for some luck, and Lesnar just stares.
Coach comes out to let everyone know that he's recovering fine from his neck injury. He then interviews Mark Cuban, and Cuban says he can't wait to see Austin kick Bischoff's ass. Bischoff then comes out and challenges Cuban to come into the ring, Cuban accepts. He also says he hates all referees.
Bischoff says that Cuban may think he's big in Dallas, but it's his building, and Cuban has to leave. He then says he doesn't need security, he'll do it himself. Cuban then knocks Bischoff down, but Orton comes in and hits Cuban with a neckbreaker.
Backstage:
Evolution is hanging out with at least four or five women per guy, and then Orton comes and brags about how he just killed the LEGENDary Mark Cuban. HHH then says he's going to kill Goldberg tonight.
WWE Tag Team Championship
Los Guerreros Vs. The Bashams
The match starts off, and Shaniqua helps the Bashams get the advantage.
Chavo helps get the advantage back, then brings Eddie into the ring, who goes crazy with offense.
Guerrero eventually gets a nearfall on Danny Basham.
The two Bashams throw Eddie to the outside, and Shaniqua leads them in some offense against Eddie. Doug Basham then comes into the ring, and continues the assault on Eddie.
Chavo comes in and does a number on Doug Basham, but the two double-team Eddie to regain advantage.
Chavo eventually comes back with a nearfall on Doug, but Danny breaks it up. All four men are now in the ring, but Eddie gets thrown to the outside.
Match progresses, and then Eddie eventually hits Shaniqua with a frog splash. Chavo then spanks Shaniqua, which prompts the Bashams to come in. As Chavo goes for a spinning DDT, he hits Eddie, and then loses focus and gets rolled up.
Winners: Bashams
Survivor Series Elimination Match
Team Austin(Booker T, Shawn Michaels, Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Rob Van Dam) Vs. Team Bischoff(Randy Orton, Christian, Chris Jericho, Scott Steiner, Mark Henry)
Bischoff leads his team to the ring, and Austin follows up by bringing his squad down.
D-Von and Christian start off. The two lock-up, with D-Von getting the advantage off the ropes. Christian, however, gets up and hits D-Von with a slap. D-Von then chokes Christian and takes him down the ring. He's in control, and brings RVD in.
RVD goes to work on Christian, but Christian is able to get Jericho in. Jericho gets some offense in, and then tags for Steiner. Steiner slows the pace down a bit, but continues to assault RVD.
RVD tries to counter some moves, but Steiner continues to answer, and then gets an overhead belly-to-belly, followed by another for a nearfall.
RVD gets Booker T in, and he pummels Steiner with offense, leading into a scissors-kick, followed by a spinneronie. Christian and Jericho come in to interfere, but Booker fights them off and spinebusters Steiner. Orton breaks that fall up, and the corners clear, as everyone fights on the outside, aside from Steiner and Booker, who are going at it in the ring.
Steiner gets Booker T in a camel clutch, but Stacy gets on the apron and starts cheering for Booker. This allows D-Von to hit Steiner, and Booker hits the Book End, eliminating Steiner. (While Stacy was up, she lowered her skirt as it was in upskirt position)
Mark Henry comes in and quickly disposes of Booker T.
Out: Booker, Steiner
Bubba and Henry are going at it, but D-Von gets tagged in, and the Dudleys team up for a 3D. Unfortunately, the Dudleys go to the corner to fight off Team Bischoff, but RVD was still able to get a frog splash. All three men then get the pinfall on Henry.
Out: Henry
It's now RVD vs. Jericho. After a minute or two, Jericho gets Orton into the match, and he's going to work hard on RVD. RVD then turns things around, and hits Orton with rolling thunder. RVD then goes up for a frog splash, but Jericho throws him off the top, allowing Orton to get an RKO.
Out: RVD
Match progresses a little, and Jericho eliminates D-Von.
Bubba and Jericho go at it, but then HBK comes in (finally) and goes to work on Jericho, with the crowd clearly on his side.
Christian tries to even things up, but HBK then jumps and hits HBK. This causes HBK's attention to be diverted, and Jericho gets Orton in.
Orton goes to work on HBK, but there's a pause and HBK can get Bubba in, while Orton gets Christian in. Buba then destroys Christian, and hits him with a high back bodydrop. He gets a pinfall, but Orton breaks it up. Bubba hits Orton with a Samoan drop. He tries to get his series of punches on Jericho, but fails, and Jericho low blows Bubba, setting up an unprettier from Christian.
Out: Bubba
It's now HBK vs. Orton/Christian/Jericho
Match progresses, and the three bust HBK open on the outside. He then comes in, and kicks out of a Christian pin.
HBK desperately tries to fight back, but Christian just overpowers him. He then sets HBK up for an unprettier, HBK counters and then takes Christian out, setting up the pin for the elimination.
Out: Christian
Jericho comes in and destroys HBK. However, he can't get a three-count.
As we continue, HBK is starting to get really weak. Yet, he manages to throw Orton over the top to temporarily even the score. He then counters a Christian lionsault, and goes for Sweet Chin Music. He misses, but as Jericho goes for a Walls Of Jericho, HBK gets a roll-up in, eliminating Jericho. Jericho still is able to chairshot HBK, giving Orton the advantage as he comes back into the ring. Orton goes for the pin, but it's a very near, near fall.
HBK is about to win, but Bischoff comes in and takes him out. This prompts Austin to ignore his rule and beat the hell of Bischoff and Austin. However, Batista makes his presence felt by powerbombing HBK, allowing Orton to get the ring.
Winners: Team Bischoff
Austin makes a speech thanking the fans; making it as if this is the last time we're going to see him on WWE TV.
Coach then comes out for the post-match interview, but brings security guards to escort Austin. Austin then destroys Coach and all the guards.
Buried Alive Match
The Undertaker Vs. Vince McMahon
Vince comes out wearing a T-shirt, something you usually don't see with him. I guess he didn't bulk up this month.
He then goes and prays in the corner before the match starts.
Undertaker just nails him with a right hand, and goes straight to work on Vince. Vince blades very early, and is already covered in red.
Undertaker continues to assault the hell out of Vince, and Vince is pouring with blood.
Undertaker continues to destroy Vince on the outside, slamming him into the steps and the apron. He then goes over and rams him off the announcer table. Taker then starts choking Vince with electric wire.
Taker then nails Vince with the TV monitor, forcing Vince to roll over the announcer table and onto the other side. Taker throws the table out of the way, and hits the bloodied Vince with a series of punches.
Taker goes to the gravesite, but instead of waiting for Vince to come over, he grabs the shovel, returns to the ring, and nails Vince.
Taker then sets up Vince's ankle on the steps, and squashes them with the other step. He brings Vince over to the gravesite, but Vince takes the shovel and starts going to work on Taker. He then knocks Taker into the hole, but Taker pulls Vince by the throat and gets Vince in the hole. Taker then goes up to the hayloader, but gets blasted with a pyro. Kane then comes out, throws Taker into the hole, pulls Vince out, and they bury Taker alive.
Winner: Vince McMahon
WWE World Championship
Goldberg(c) Vs. Triple H
Triple H comes out first, followed by Goldberg.
They get right to it, with Goldberg leading the offense, followed by an early spear. Flair then gets in the ring, but Goldberg takes him out. This allows HHH to get up,as the bell starts the match.
Goldberg throws HHH right out of the ring and is really aggressive.
But, at this point, HHH is working hard on Goldberg's 'injured' ankle, until Goldberg finally fights back. Both men are down in the center of the ring. They get up, and HHH then does a cool undercut on Goldberg, before going for a Figure-Four on Goldberg. He can't lock it in as Goldberg kicks HHH into the corner. HHH then gets some brass knucks from Flair and nails Goldberg. Hebner counts like six times, but they say it's a two count.
Lots of action, and Orton/Batista got involved, but Goldberg ends up winning with a jackhammer. Wasn't too bad, and was better than their first.
Winner: Goldberg
